Based on your feedback that we’ve received via email, through the blog and at the SFA state board meeting, the SFA design team has continued tweak the logo concepts. One of the main concerns that we heard was that the original options presented were not “farm-y” enough. As as farmer-based organization we wanted to make sure that farm elements came through clearly.
I’m referring to the new concept as the “leaf & sun” concept or concept #4. This concept continues to use the colors previously presented.
Let us know what you think. What appeals to you about it? What do like about? What don’t you like about it?
Does it fit this list of descriptors:
- Connection
- Dynamic
- Modern
- Youth
- Clean
- Positive
- Moving Upward/Growth
- Holism
- Original
- Playful
- Farm-y
- Strong
- Confident
I will also post this logo with “text treatment” and in black and white tomorrow.
**Remember: The SFA design team NEEDS YOUR FEEDBACK!

Anne, I like the new version #4 more than any of the others so far, and I think option 1 is better because of the contrasting letters.
Thanks for staying with this and incorporating everyone’s feedback, Anne.

Anne,
I like option 1 better. Option 2 looks a bit washed out. I would suggest trying option 1 with the circcular arrows colored sky blue, and possibly with earthy brown veins through the bottom leaf rather than white. Vibrant color is both eye catching and healing at the same time. Things I think that the MN SFA sould convey. Thanks for your work!
Sincerely, Rae Rusnak
Both of these are very, very close — beautiful logos! And I agree with Rae R. that the first is ‘stronger’ and I it would be fun to see Rae’s suggestions on number 1. Thanks!
I too like these two logs better that the first three. And of these two, I like the contrast of the brown on the first one. My only hesitancy is that they looks so, so John Deere. I hear Rae’s comments about bright and vibrant colors but is there some subtle way to change the tint or something so I don’t think John Deere when I look at them?
Thanks for staying on this. I can’t think of a job much worse that trying to please a disparate group of people with the same graphic. Mary
